Its nice to meet you. I guess Im rude since I haven’t introduced myself properly. My name is …. Well that’s not that important is it. Id rather not give out specifics other than tell you my story. Well that is if you have time to listen. I was originally raised up north. My parents owned horses and I hated them mind you. I know what you are thinking, why would a person hate a horse? I mean after all they are so magnificent, you can ride them , and how can anyone hate a horse. I guess I have a question for you then, how many horse stalls have you cleaned? How much hay have you bailed? Have you ever experienced freezing temps only to feed an animal that you truly despise because they are someone else’s pet. You see they were my mom’s pets. I guess now that I process the information I really didn’t hate the horses as much but the work behind maintenance of 11 large pooping quadrupeds.
So I grew up on a farm, I liked life for the most part. I obeyed all the rules. You see there are rules in everything. Growing up my parents had rules, the teacher had rules, the law had rules, and of course the church had rules. I know the worse way to lose someone is to mention politics or religion, At least I didn’t mention politics. Any way I was all about obeying the rules, for the most part I kept my nose clean. No criminal record, 1 speeding ticket to date, and I was always in bed by 10-11 pm. I just didn’t see the point of staying out until 3 am in the morning pretending to have fun when I could snuggle under my warm blankets enjoying sleep.
Growing up I was always a little gangly and not really the ladies man. Its not that I didn’t like women, I did. Its just that I really didn’t understand them, from my rational mind I still cannot relate to a woman. Im shy when it comes to certain things, and asking women out just was not a priority in my life. I often wondered if my parents thought I was going to turn out gay. I even remember my dad offering one day to get me a membership on Eharmony or some online website like that. I told him not to worry about it and the perfect woman would come around.
I often wonder If we have been duped into believing that there is a perfect person waiting for us. I used to think that God had someone set aside and waiting for me, but over time I started thinking. Well here’s the crappy thing. What is God wants us to pick and choose who you want to be with. I mean after all He is God right, so he knows what is going to happen. I mean women and men generally have roles right. You listen to someone as what a women looks for in a perfect man, and often you hear about a man that will take control. Now don’t get mad at mean I said generally.. Not all women are like this. Remember this story is about me , anyhoo what if I decided I really didn’t want to take control.
I have a tendency to overreact to things. I don’t consider myself ugly but maybe a bit spineless when it comes to women. Oh back to the overreacting bit, I always played out in my mind what would happen on rejection. I mean what if I ask a woman out and she totally doesn’t want to go out right? A normal person would probably shrug his shoulders and go on in life. Me I would probably get depressed and grumble for a couple months and realized that women = depression. I wanted to have a good relationship , it just didn’t work out that way. Besides why would I want to waste my time being depressed. I always figured the perfect woman would kinda drop into my lap

So I met one when I was about 21, she was beautiful brunette and a couple year younger than me. The only problem is I knew we were way too different to ever work out. It lasted a month. I know short lived huh. So along the way there were different dates and women but nothing solid. Somehow I made it to my 30’s and that’s when I realized , What the heck just happened. My life kinda is gone, Im getting older and the women my age are generally married with kids or divorced with kids. There is always door number 3 am I right, There are younger gals but often their mindset is not one about settling down. I was looking for a solid relationship not just a physical one.
So I met another woman when I was 31. She was beautiful, fiery, and Latin. I just have to say Latin women have a certain spark about them that make my blood boil. I don’t know if it’s the way they walk or how they talk, but they have almost a intoxicating presence about them. I dated her for about 8 months until she told me that she was moving away, needless to say a part of me died that day. She told me that she had mentioned that before, but I didn’t remember it. I knew that I didn’t want her to go, I wanted her to stay but remember im a bit spineless. I let her go. We attempted to date for about 4-6 months before ing it off. I talked to her ever now and then , but recently she just got married so I don’t talk to her anymore.
She still wanted to remain friends and talk on the but I didn’t think that was wise and I told her that. I wished her luck in her marriage and I probably wont talk to her again. I guess the way I see it is this way. When you are dating someone it’s a relationship between you and that other person. When you get married, you go before everyone and God. I don’t want to cross God. After all I mean if Im going to be single , I got to hope somewhere if I die at least Ill meet my maker without a guilty conscious.
So here we are, I left a lot of blanks in and there is tons of stuff to analyze. Im lonely, 34, kinda tall, not exactly ripped, and pretty dorky. Im lonely and a little depressed due to the stupid holiday that just happened. I really hate valentines day, I hate it more than horses. I guess more than the work involved with horses. I consider myself somewhat good looking, but honestly I wonder if that just because no one considers themselves ugly. I have a lot more to my story but Im not even sure if craigslist will alow this much typing so Im stopping. Send a pic,
